Jean Koehler is a Vice President/Trust Officer with First Dakota National Bank in Mitchell. She has been a trust officer since 1998 and joined First Dakota in December 2000. Jean specializes in Trust Services including investment management, estate planning, estate management, trust administration, and retirement planning.
Jean received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and Marketing from Northern State College in Aberdeen, SD. She graduated from the University of Denver School of Law. Prior to becoming a trust officer, Jean practiced law for 13 years. She has received the CTFA (Certified Trust and Financial Advisor) designation and is a graduate of the Cannon Trust School.
Jean is originally from Mitchell and knows the importance of being active in the community. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors for the Mitchell Area Safehouse Foundation, Lifescape and Mitchell Weekend Snackpack Program. She also serves on the Lifescape Finance Committee. She is a member and serves on the Board of the Mitchell Rotary Club. She has served in the past as a Member of the Board of Directors of the Abbott House (Treasurer), YWCA, Junior Achievement, Mitchell Area Charitable Foundation (President and Treasurer), Avera Queen of Peace Foundation, MWIN (President), Mitchell Area Safehouse (President and Secretary), and Children's Care (Finance Committee).
Jean is a member of the Davison County Bar Association and the South Dakota Bar Association.
