Remote Deposit Frequently Asked Questions
A: Making a deposit is as simple as 1, 2, 3.
- Total your checks (you will need the count and amount.)
- Scan the checks.

A: Yes, all checks are eligible to be deposited using RDC as long as they are drawn on a U.S. Bank. International (ie: Canadian) checks are not eligible. They must be sent in for collection.
A: No, RDC places a virtual endorsement on the image of the check.
A: You are required to keep the physical checks in a secure location for a maximum of 14 days. After that time, they must be destroyed using a cross-cut shredder or an incinerator.
A: After a check has been scanned, the images are available to you via the secure RDC portal. The system does allow you to print a copy of the images if you would like to keep a paper copy for your records.
A: Many varieties of reports are available to you using the RDC portal. These reports can be modified to create custom reports that include only the information you are looking for.
A: The secure RDC portal makes it easy to search for individuals or transactions after the check(s) have been scanned. You simply need to choose which kind of search you would like to conduct, enter the information you are looking for, and the system does the rest.
