Mortgage Loan Processor

The candidate must have the capability to maintain strict confidentiality, attention to detail and comply with all Bank policies and procedures. The ability to effectively communicate with various types of clientele, co-workers and departments to resolve an assortment of needs is required. A knowledge of real estate loan processes is essential along with strong organizational skills and the ability to work well in a team environment. This position can be located in either Sioux Falls or Yankton. Hours include Monday-Friday 8-5.


Reviews residential loan application file to verify that application data is complete and meets establishment standards, including type and amount of mortgage, borrower assets, liabilities, and length of employment
Calls/faxes/emails specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, appraisal and insurance information
Submits mortgage loan application file for underwriting approval
Coordinates loan closing with the borrower, title company and realtor, if applicable.
Ensures loans are clear to close
Prepares initial Closing Disclosure and works with settlement agent to coordinate numbers for the final Closing Disclosure
Obtains final approval of the Closing Disclosure from the loan originator
Must interact with settlement agents, loan originators and operations staff daily
Prepares all required mortgage loan closing documents via Loan Origination System, ensuring no errors or typos are on the documents
Confirms all closing conditions are met
Submits approved mortgage loan file to Loan Officer for review of closing documents and then to the settlement agent for closing

One year certificate from college or technical school or;
Three to six months banking or related experience or;
Equivalent combination of education and experience
