Don’t get caught with an overdraft. Our Checking Plus service offers you an extended line of credit to protect you from overdraft charges and automatically advances the money needed to cover an overdraft.
How It Works
Whenever your checking account becomes overdrawn, we will automatically deposit $200 increments of money into your account as it is needed to cover your overdraft. Your maximum advance is limited to what your available credit is. There is a nominal monthly charge for Checking Plus that is automatically deducted from your checking balance every month.
What is an overdraft?
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction. First Dakota National Bank covers your overdrafts in two different ways:
- We have standard overdraft practices that come with your account.
- We offer overdraft protection plans, such as our Checking Plus line of credit, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices.
