Denny Everson retired from First Dakota National Bank in January 2013. He joined First Dakota in 1984 as an ag loan officer. He was promoted to Vice President in 1990 and Senior Vice President in 1992. In 2001, Denny was promoted to President of the Agri-Business Division. Denny assumed the role of Director of Branch Administration in January 2010 and held that position until his retirement. Denny’s responsibilities included providing leadership to the branch bank managers and presidents, and overseeing management of the Trust and Brokerage divisions of the bank. Denny joined the Board in 2013.
Denny earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Science and Agronomy from South Dakota State University. Prior to joining First Dakota, Denny worked as Credit Operations Specialist with the Federal Intermediate Credit Bank of Omaha, in Omaha, Nebraska. Denny has served as a board member of the South Dakota Bankers Association, chairman of the South Dakota Ag and Rural Leadership board of directors, chairman of the American Bankers Association Agricultural and Rural Banks Committee, member of the American Bankers Association Federal Home Loan Bank Committee, chairman of the South Dakota Bankers Commercial Lending Committee, chairman of the South Dakota Livestock Foundation, president of SDSU Alumni Association, chairman of the Sacred Heart Development Foundation, board member of the South Dakota Corn Growers, and former board member of Farmer Mac.
