I enjoy working at First Dakota because of my co-workers. We are more than co-workers, we are friends. We are a team at First Dakota. While we all work to make First Dakota successful, we are helping and cheering our co-workers on from the sidelines. When one falls down, several others are there to step in or lend a helping hand. One of my favorite memories points to the fun that happens here. I was sitting at our Employee Appreciation event and we were all dressed up with our teams--Rob Stephenson was dressed as a biker, with bandana, leather jacket, etc. There was a very new employee sitting near him that he was conversing with when I heard the new employee ask of Rob, "What do you do here?" He was so new that he didn't know our President and CEO yet, and Rob casually answered something along the lines of, "Well, I'm the President of the Bank." I don't think that new employee thought that the President and CEO would be having that much fun and dressed like a biker! This speaks volumes to the approachability/humility of Executive Management and the overall culture of the bank! Renae B. employed since 2018
First Dakota is a bottom up ran organization in my opinion and all of us have a say in what and where we go. My advice to new employees is to get involved early and look to others for help at any time. I would not work at any other bank after working here. Corey M. employed since 2012
Positivity is my favorite core value because I truly believe that our thoughts become things. And I figure if I practice positive thinking, I will have a better chance to influence a positive outcome.
