Forbes Magazine Names First Dakota Best-In-State Bank for 2025

First Dakota National Bank is proud to have once again earned the distinction of South Dakota’s #1 Best-In-State Bank by Forbes business magazine for 2025.

“It’s an honor to be recognized as the Best-In-State Bank by Forbes for yet another year,” said First Dakota National Bank President and CEO Rob Stephenson. “Our mission is helping our customers thrive at home, at work, and in their communities, and this recognition reflects our unrelenting commitment to that promise.”

According to its website, “Forbes partnered with market research firm Statista and surveyed approximately 26,000 people. Respondents were asked how satisfied they were and how likely they were to recommend the U.S.-based banks and credit unions at which they have a checking or savings account, those at which they had an account within the last three years, and those they knew through friends and family. (Online-only banks and credit unions were excluded, as well as larger institutions with branches in 15 or more states.) Participants were also asked to rate their financial institutions on factors including trust, customer service, digital tools, the quality of financial advice given and whether fees were transparent and reasonable.”

Stephenson added, “Given how closely their surveys match with our goals to serve our customers consistently over time in the high-quality manner needed to earn their trust, this continued recognition by Forbes is especially humbling for the First Dakota team.”
